2013 - Marisule, St Lucia

Courts Distribution Centre Warehouse

The Courts Distribution Centre Warehouse project consists of the construction of over 35,000ft² of warehouse and office space at Marisule, Gros Islet for Blue Jay (St Lucia) Ltd. – a major multinational furniture and home appliances company.

The construction consists primarily of reinforced concrete foundations and ground slab, erection of a structural steel frame structure (with reinforced concrete blockwork, side cladding and roof sheets), electrification, mechanisation and construction of concrete pavements, drainage and other external works.

Dannion undertook all structural and infrastructural engineering design, in collaboration with NLBA architects and Sandy Brown MEP Engineers who undertook all electrical and mechanical engineering designs. Subsequent to ground investigations and topographical surveys, NLBA produced the architectural drawings. Dannion produced the detailed engineering design drawings up to Development Control Authority Approvals; bills of quantities and engineer’s estimate, and technical specifications. During the supervision phase, Dannion undertook structural engineering supervision and quantity surveying, ensuring the highest level of quality control and adherence to the technical specifications.
