Conrad Emmanuel

Senior Partner Head of Costs Estimating MSc, BSc, Dip (Dist)

Conrad studied at the University College of Estate Management and the University of Reading, gaining a masters in Quantity Surveying. He has worked on a diverse range of projects since joining Dannion in 2006, with an interest in sustainability and green construction issues evident by the impute knowledge demonstrated in the award winning National Insurance Administration Complex. Conrad led the design and supervison of three recently completed early childhood centres, and continues to demonstrate the ability to deliver built assets that meet the varied needs of our clients. Conrad enjoys watching his favourite football club Liverpool and spending time with his son Liam.

Biography

Conrad Emmanuel is the head of quantity surveying and costs estimating at Dannion. He is a member of the Institute of Surveyors St. Lucia. As a member of the Dannion executive board, Conrad is responsible for all costs management of our varied projects, from cost estimating and cost planning during the design and preconstruction phases to cost monitoring and control throughout the construction phases. He brings a wealth of experience in the preparation of tender and contract documents, and in contract administration to any construction project lead by his team.

He became a Partner in 2011 and has led the teams in the preparation of cost plans, cost estimates, tender documents, site inspections and valuations on numerous residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects, from the Saltibus Health Centre to the 83,000ft² LEED accredited National Insurance Administration Complex. In ensuring the successful completion of projects to the requirements of the client, his team evaluates the most effective strategic options on procurement routes for individual projects, whether it be traditional, design or management procurement routes.

His current work includes the St Johns Vianney Church and the Pigeon Island National Landmark beach stabilisation works on which his team developed preconstruction documentation including cost plans, detailed bills of quantities and specifications. Other ongoing projects undertaken by his team include Goodlands Access Road and Fond St. Jacques River flood protection works. Recently, his team undertook the Early Childhood Centres in Babonneau, Marigot, Dennery and Mon Repos.

Conrad’s earlier projects include the refurbishment of Palmyra and Escapade residential beach properties on Mustique, in the Grenadines; the construction of Comfort Bay – a 27,000ft² senior citizens’ home set on 10 acres of land; and Gaity Entertainment Arena - a 35,000ft² building in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. In addition, he was tasked with assistant project management duties on touristic projects including Mount Pimard and Freedom Bay in St. Lucia, and Port Warner Resort and Nevis Pinneys Estate Resort Development in St. Kitts and Nevis.
