The project, in various overlapping phases, consists of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the island’s second primary hospital to the level of a modern facility after damage to the surgical wing of the hospital by fire on 9th September 2009.
Phase 1 of the project consists of the demolition of the sections of the facility damaged beyond repair during the fire.
Phase 2 consists of the reconstruction of over 2,000m² of ground and first floors.
Phase 3 consists of the removal and disposal of hazardous components of the existing structure.
Phase 4 consists of the rehabilitation of two floors of the two building blocks.
Phase 5 consists of construction of a warehouse and sewer treatment plant.
Dannion (along with lead consultant Halcrow) provided architectural and full engineering services (including structural, infrastructural, electrical and mechanical) designs, engineering review, project management and construction supervision.
